This picture says it all and so much more. Capricornian energy abounds tomorrow, Sunday 1/18, during the New Moon in Cap and the week to follow. As a Capricorn Rising, I promise you I feel this strongly. My knees are SO flared up. (Capricorn rules the joints). Anyone else?
I took another medical astrology class online today and am always blown away at how spot on astrology is in regard to how it coincides with what I'm experiencing in my physical body. Let me give you an example: I have stiffness in my knees (Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn which governs the joints, hair, skin - our structure). Capricorn constricts, restricts structure--and I'm feeling restriction in the structure of my knees!!! Neptune represents hidden disease, infection, illness and it's talking to my Mars which represents inflammation. I have an encapsulated (hidden) infection where my right wisdom tooth used to be. Of course, there's SO much more to this, but in a nutshell, that's the flavor of it and how I'm experiencing it.
Capricorn energy has both light and dark aspects to it. Just like it represents structure, rules and regulations, it's also motivational, determined and very goal oriented. Harnessing the energy of Capricorn can push us to climb the highest mountains as well as swim in the deepest seas. It's stable, constant energy that allows us to put any task at hand to good use.
Now on the flip side, Capricorn energy can be...moody, stubborn and basically a stick in the mud. It can be harsh, judgmental and ornery. Capricorns are always encouraged to integrate compassion. Because of the driven energy Capricorn supplies, it can place expectations on others to do or be the same. As we know, sometimes that's not possible. So, the remedy to the hard-nosed, driven, mountain climbing Capricorn is to look to the opposite of it and dive deep into the seas of emotion known to Cancer, hence the archetype of Capricorn known as the Sea goat. It can climb mountains and swim in the seas.
Here are some great to do's and to don'ts during this time:
Do -
Make a list of only 3 things you want to achieve in the next 2 weeks and prioritize them
Make ONE change in your daily or nightly routine, just one
Declutter your workspace, organize it and cleanse it
Balance out your masculine and feminine energy (work/rest)
A grounded meditation
Don't
Share your manifestations or ideas during this time
Burn yourself out, make rest a priority
Over commit
Allow others to break your boundaries, as well as YOU don't break your boundaries
Cling to outdated definitions of safety or success
Tomorrow is a great time to ceremonialize these do's and don'ts. You're probably already feeling this energy if not physically, then emotionally. Take advantage of it and make sure you're climbing your OWN mountain and not someone else's.
