Nothing like a mother's love...

Yep, that's me, shortly after the birth of my daughter Savannah 30 + years ago. Now she has a baby of her own. It's such a mind f#ck how fast time flys sometimes. This is one of those times....
As Tuesday grows closer when the New Moon in Cancer arrives, I'm reminded how the cycle of life continues on because of motherly nurturing energy. I could go on and on about how the Moon rules Cancer, and the moon has a 28-day cycle, just like a women's menstrual cycle, but I'll leave it there for now. 🙂
♋Cancer being motherly, nurturing energy is represented by none other than the crab as it's archetype. 🦀 The crab has a hard outer shell that protects the soft, delectable meat underneath it. The outer shell is a reminder to keep our boundaries in place to protect our tender underside.
🌑New moons bring about a new beginning, a fresh start and a new cycle of life. Put the two together and it looks like a new beginning or fresh start to nurture, care and mother ourselves so that we can do the same for others. This theme will be highlighted on Tuesday and for the next 28 days.
👉🏼For me, during this special cycle, I get to be a mother again to my baby girl as she comes home for a visit with her new little family this week. Once again, how ironic (it never is) that I get to nurture and care for her as she nurtures and cares for her little one during this New Moon in Cancer cycle!!! I get to observe the fruits of my labor in action. Such a poignant time! I honestly sit in awe of it all.
So, the intention I set for this New Moon in Cancer cycle is: be present in every moment, fill my cup first and foremost so I can be of nurture and care for my daughter and her almost 2-year-old baby boy as needed! And let me tell you, that will be a challenge for me as a mom who did everything for everyone before tending to myself! It's a great lesson my DAUGHTER will be teaching me, and I look forward to the challenge!
P.S. Did I mention Cancer in my chart rules my 7th house of one-on-one relationships??Again, can't make it up!
